were a preparation for . . . nothing – 292/366 (catch up)

Describe my last life changing moment.

life-changing – I guess that my fascination and propensity towards things like chaos theory make this a tough one to answer. The day my son was born was life-changing, as was the day I got the cancer call, and the cancer surgery, so was taking off to medical school in a small third world country. Those are big, but my choices… and I mean each and every little one, change my life. So deciding to write this line, was life changing (how that evolves and how dynamic it is are still up in the air).

“Who can know when his world is going to change? Who can tell before it happens, that every prior experience, all the years, were a preparation for . . . nothing.”
~ William Goldman
